Squarespace, Wix, Format, Cargo, or any hosted platform, moved to self-hosted WordPress or a static archive. Content, images at maximum available resolution, page structure, and internal links, moved intact.
Preservation
Archival preservation
For bodies of work that should not depend on anyone's uptime: flat, durable pages with no database and no plugins to break. Documentation, exhibition records, and project histories built to still be readable in fifteen years.
Setup
Self-hosted setup
Hosting selection, domain and DNS handling, email, SSL, backups. Configured so the switchover happens without downtime and without breaking existing links.
Handoff
Editing and handoff
A walkthrough of how to add and update your own work, plus written documentation. The point is that you do not need me afterwards.
Ongoing support
Optional, hourly. Updates, new sections, or help when something breaks.
How it works
- Look. I go through your existing site and tell you what is involved. No charge.
- Quote. A flat project fee, based on scope. You know the number before we start.
- Build. On a staging domain, so your live site stays up the whole time.
- Switch. DNS points to the new site. Usually invisible to visitors.
- Handoff. Training, documentation, and the keys to everything.
